Pal Indonesia, is ready to produce two Corvettes which are needed by Indonesian Defence, totally order USD 530 million, Pal Indonesia Collaboration with others Strategic Industry.
The Strategic of that Industries are Pt.Pindad,Pt. LEN,Pt. INTI, Pt. Dirgantara Indonesia in order to produces the Corvettes needed by Indonesian Navy.
President Director Pal Indonesia Mr. Harsusanto, said that Pal Indonesia has created the Division of program for National Corvette that prepare for implemented the production of Corvette in Indonesia for the first time.
We are very serius to prepare this project and this preparation has been presented in front of Indonesia President H.E. Susilo bambang yudhoyono in the meeting of Indonesian defence on January 4,2008 at Jakarta, Togethers with others Strategic Industry able to finish the Manufacturing two National Corvette at the end of 2009,if the government preparing the Finance totally usd 530 million in the first semester of this year, he said last week.
He said, that preparation is connected with the effort of the Government to make the main equipment for Defence in local Company. President in every occation always said that the important of fulfill main equipment of defence including Corvette must be provided by made in Indonesia.
Mr. Harsusanto added, Government of Indonesia plan to build two Corvettes in the local Company Where for manufactured that ships need the fund about USD 530 million.
The Program of National Corvette must be supported by the legal aspect and department of finance must create the scheme of funding to make the local Bank able to give the credit, he said.
According to Mr.Harsusanto,Many strategic Industries in it’s competency will be involved for manufactured Corvette such as Pt.Pindad, will produce the guns,Pt. INTI will produce the telecommunication, Pt. Krakatau Steel, Pt. Dirganatra Indonesia, Pt. LEN and others.
